Antônio Batista de Sousa, better known as Antônio Poteiro, was a Portuguese sculptor, ceramist and painter, son of the Portuguese ceramist Américo Batista de Souzaque. He went to Brazil when he was one year old, lived in São Paulo, Minas Gerais and settled in Goiânia.
