Kitty Paranaguá
Bio
Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1955. Lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. Her work portrays aspects and geographical spaces based on the connection she establishes with people, places, beliefs, moods, and memories. With the essay “Fields of Altitude”, Kitty was one of the highlights of the 10th edition of FotoRio 2017 and was elected representant of the Rio event at the Beijing International Photography Festival. Her photos from the Copacabana essay are part of the collection of the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP). In 2019, she was one of the winners of the Prix Photo Aliança Francesa, and had works exhibited at important institutions, such as Museu da Casa Brasileira (SP) and National Historic Museum (RJ).
