Amilcar de Castro

Bio

Amilcar de Castro (1920/2002) Escultor, grabador, dibujante, maquetador, escenógrafo, conferenciante. En 1944, asistió al curso abierto de dibujo y pintura con Guignard, en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Belo Horizonte. En contacto con el artista Max Bill, realiza su primera escultura constructivista, que se exhibe en la Bienal Internacional de São Paulo en 1953, participa en las exposiciones del grupo constructivista, firmando el Manifiesto Neoconcretista en 1959.
