Bio
Nace en 1977 en Roma, Italia. Participó en la 54a Bienal de Venecia, y en el Festival De la Fotografia Internazionale di Roma en 2012 en el Museo Macro. En 2017 en el IPA, International Photo Awards fue galardonado con mención honorífica en arquitectura. En 2015 fue preseleccionado en el Premio Pulse en Nueva York, en 2014 fue seleccionado en el Young Masters Art Prize en Londres, y en Fotografia . Ganó el Premio Arte Laguna 2012 en Venecia. Exposiciones individuales, algunas en la FERIA de Arte Fotográfico MIA Milan Image, en la BAG Bocconi Art Gallery de Milán, en la galería UBS Art Collection en Lugano, en la galería Diana Lowenstein de Miami, en la galería Glauco Cavaciuti de Milán, en el FotoLeggendo en Roma, en el Museo di Roma in Trastevere, en el Fabbrica Borroni de Milán.
Statement
The Empire of Light is an ongoing project focusing on the aesthetics and mysterious beauty of abandoned locations, still having a soul, a meaning as vectors of layering sensations and images that make them live, independent of our memory and our experience, creating a strange atmosphere of expectation, bordering the surreal.
The aim is not to expose their dereliction, but rather to render the grandeur and magnificence of these spaces, which are now forgotten and on the path to extinction, and thus seem to belong to a parallel world. The artist was struck by shapes, lines and volumes when arranging his shots, but was mainly guided by light. The photographs were taken around the world: in the United States, Poland, Belgium, Germany, UK and Italy.
