Artista visual con formación en arquitectura y diseño. Magíster por la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (ETSAM), y tiene una especialización en fotografía de la Escuela de Fotografía y Centro de la Imagen (EFTI), España.

Statement
Melissa inició su carrera durante sus años en España, donde se dedicó a desarrollar proyectos en artes visuales e intervenciones urbanas. Su obra tiene bases en la geometría abstracta, el minimalismo, y la arquitectura y diseño contemporáneos en un proceso de exploración del espacio, el color y sus posibilidades.
Su proyecto creativo transita entre la escultura en metal, pintura digital, pintura mural y proyectos artísticos interdisciplinarios. Se caracteriza por ser luminoso, limpio y de líneas simples, creando una armonía cromática sencilla e intensa a la vez.
No busca intelectualizar su arte porque crea a partir de los sentidos, guiada por una necesidad de lograr armonía estética en sus composiciones usando el color, de manera muy intuitiva, como elemento de construcción donde el espacio se hace visible a partir de planos de colores que revelan elementos propios de la arquitectura.
En sus exploraciones de color y perspectiva, el espectador puede percibir la obra de distintas formas, variando conjuntamente con su desplazamiento en el espacio, jugando con la percepción, transparencia y opacidad. En sus variaciones de color busca generar un ritmo que aparece al combinar distintos valores cromáticos y sus variaciones en degradé, creando equilibrio, serenidad y silencio.

Melissa began her career during her years in Spain, where she dedicated herself to developing visual arts projects and urban interventions. Her work is rooted in abstract geometry, minimalism, and contemporary architecture and design, exploring space, color, and their possibilities.
Her creative project encompasses metal sculpture, digital painting, mural painting, and interdisciplinary art projects. It is characterized by its luminosity, clean lines, and simple aesthetic, creating a chromatic harmony that is both simple and intense.
She does not seek to intellectualize her art, creating instead through the senses, guided by a need to achieve aesthetic harmony in her compositions. She uses color intuitively as a building block, where space becomes visible through planes of color that reveal architectural elements.
In her explorations of color and perspective, the viewer can perceive the work in different ways, varying with their movement through the space, playing with perception, transparency, and opacity. In its color variations, it seeks to generate a rhythm that appears by combining different chromatic values and their gradient variations, creating balance, serenity, and silence.
